Ask Dr. A is operated by The Abelson Group. This policy explains what information Ask Dr. A collects when you use www.abelsonai.com and how it is used.

Information we collect

• Account details: your first and last name, email address, mobile number, and optionally your company and role. Your password is stored by our sign-in provider in protected (hashed) form.
• Questions and answers: the questions you ask and the answers Ask Dr. A gives are saved to your account so you can see your conversation history.
• Uploaded assessments: when you upload a report (PDF, Word, text or image), the text is read from the file to answer your question. The original file itself is not saved to our servers.
• Billing information: if you subscribe, payment is handled by Stripe. We do not see or store your full card number. We keep a record of your subscription status.

How your information is used

• To create and secure your account and send account emails, such as email verification and password resets.
• To answer your questions and provide guidance based on what you share.
• To manage your free trial and subscription.

AI processing and service providers

To provide the service, we share information with these providers:

• OpenAI: your questions and the text of any uploaded assessment are sent to OpenAI to generate answers. Under OpenAI's API terms, data sent through its API is not used to train its models by default. OpenAI may keep it for a limited time for abuse monitoring.
• Stripe: payment processing for subscriptions.
• Hosting and database providers: to store your account and conversation history and send account emails.

We do not sell your personal information.

Data retention

Account details and conversation history are kept while your account is open. You can ask us to delete them at any time (see below).

Security

Data is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Access to your conversations is limited to your own signed-in account. No system is completely secure, so please upload only reports you have permission to share.
